I selected James of Ambiance Electrical as he had so many positive reviews. I can honestly say they all ring true. I wanted some sockets and light fittings moved in a bedroom, I happened to mention an intermittent fault also in the kitchen, on investigation this turned into more unplanned work owing to poor workmanship from previous installations. James explained everything he was doing as work progressed and resolved the many issues he came across. I am very satisfied with the finished results and impressed with his attention to detail in documenting/photographing wiring which will be hidden in walls and the attic.

Fantastic job! James came to fit some new lights in our home along with a new plug socket. Although we came across some issues along the way with the wiring not being earthed. James gave some amazing advice on different options for our new lights and for futuristic jobs. James is a very polite and friendly man. I called James to fit a new socket for our new kitchen hot tap, he surprisingly attended a couple of hours later and tested the electrics first (which he told me about in advance) to ensure all was safe to go ahead first. Unfortunately, the wiring in the house is a shambles which James thoroughly checked for a long time and advised he couldn’t fit a new socket due to safety standards as a fault on the circuit needed to be found first.

Asked James to replace an old ceiling light fitting. There were a couple of unexpected problems with the new fitting but James sorted all of those out brilliantly. A great job that we are very happy with. Will readily use James again in the future

What a huge stroke of luck we had finding James when in a blind panic a few weeks ago when a plug socket started hissing and smoking. James came within the hour on a Saturday and isolated it, thus it was a huge relief. As we had a few other electrical jobs we needed doing we enlisted the services of James.

A little late leaving this review as the work was done end of Feb but the best Electrician we have had out. James was able to arrive at our house within a few hours of us calling. He was very thorough and not only found the fault but identified some very dangerous historic wiring. He made the situation safe before returning over the next few days to properly rewire the affected areas. On top of that he provided extensive testing and fitted some things free of charge.

We asked James to remove old and install new electrical light fittings around the house as well as install an outside electrical socket. His work is of a very high standard – safety is his priority. He checked everything along the way and ensured that we were satisfied with the work.
